The research objective is to describe the effects of integration policy in the EU member states on the lives of individual immigrants and their communities. On the basis of questionnaire data from a representative sample we will describe how immigrants perceive the effects of the various legal regulations, policy measures, and institutional operational mechanisms. What objective changes can we see as a result of such effects and what is the subjective appraisal of the various measures? In the seven member states involved in the research, in total 7,200 immigrants are to be surveyed in 16-18 cities. In Hungary the survey will be conducted in Budapest and will cover 1,200 immigrants.
